Today, I want to share about friendship. It really is a beautiful thing and I hope everyone gets to experience genuine friendship in their lifetime.

Who is a Friend?

To me, a friend is simply someone you know well and have a liking for. You and this person usually have shared interests and live life together.

The righteous should choose his friends carefully

Characteristics of a friend

  1. A friend loves
  2. A friend adds value
  3. A friend forgives
  4. A friend corrects
  5. A friend helps
  6. A friend shares
  7. A friend is good to others

  • God and Abraham
  • David and Jonathan
  • God and believers

Final Thoughts

I used to be concerned at some point in my life because I felt as though I had no friend, but that wasn’t necessarily true. Even if it was, I came across a Bible verse that changed my perspective and has guided my approach to friendships ever since. I have to take some initiative and be friendly instead of always waiting for someone to reach out.

A man who has friends must himself be friendly,
but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother

  1. I have met my closest friends at church and on on-line. I love the evidence of the HOLY SPIRIT that is shown so beautifully through the way they live and Love.

  3. I love this! Friendships are very important. Some of my most valuable friends I’ve met at my church and they play a very big role in my life today.
