Praying for others

I talk a lot about love on this blog. One great way you can show your love for others is by praying for them. In Christian parlance, it is referred to as intercessory prayer. I will be sharing some prompts supported by Bible verses.

I looked for someone who might rebuild
the wall of righteousness that guards the land.
I searched for someone to stand in the gap in the wall
so I wouldn’t have to destroy the land,
but I found no one

EZEKIEL 22:30 (NLT)
Who and WHat Can you pray for?

1. Your Country – Jeremiah 29:7, Matthew 9:37-38

2. Your Leaders – Proverbs 21:1, 1 Timothy 2:1-4

3. Your Family (nuclear and extended) – Proverbs 17:17, 3 John 1:4

4. Your Pastor and Church family – Psalm 133:1, Colossians 1:9-11

5. Your Friends – Romans 1:11-12

I would be disobeying the Lord
if I stopped praying for you!
I will always teach you how to live right

1 Samuel 12:23 (CEV)

6. Your Coworkers – Proverbs 16:3, Psalm 90:17

7. Missionaries – Acts 16:14, Colossians 4:2-4, 3 John 1:5 (NLT)

8. Unsaved Loved Ones – Ezekiel 36:26, Mark 9:24

9. War Torn Areas – Jeremiah 30:17, 2 Corinthians 1:3-4

10. Persecuted Christians – Luke 22:32, 2 Peter 2:9

Don’t look out only for your own interests,
but take an interest in others, too

Philippians 2:4 (NLT)
